“I am grateful to the one who has strengthened me,
Christ Jesus our Lord,
because he considered me faithful in putting me into ministry,”
(1 Timothy 1:12)
We pause this week to give thanks; (something we should really do every day, not just one day a year!). We have many things for which to be thankful. At 70 years old, we have good health in which we can still serve. We have been blessed with a home on wheels and a way to pull it to the various ministries we serve. We have been blessed to be called to ministry for over 25 years.
We are so thankful for the many people we have been able to meet and work alongside, as well as seeing how God is working in so many different ministries to bring the lost to Himself. We serve an incredible God!
We are thankful for the experiences and skills He has allowed us to acquire so that we can serve Him in different ways. We love working outside where we can hear, see, and smell His creation. This past week Bruce was able to help install the trusses on the new SOWER building. There was no rain or wind to cause problems, and the weather was comfortable for climbing on scaffolding and through the trusses as they anchored them in place.
We enjoy being able to use our administrative skills at the SOWER Ministry office to help over 600 active SOWER couples connect with the approximately 170 ministries with whom the SOWER ministry has partnered. (We often have 2-3 times more requests for help than we have SOWERs available to work because most SOWERs only work a couple of months a year.)
We are extremely thankful for our safety as we’ve traveled over 40,000 miles all over the lower 48 states with no accidents or major problems. We are thankful that severe weather has bypassed us or caused minimal damage, (such as the loss of one solar panel last spring in a hail storm).
Yes, we are thankful. We look forward to continuing our service to the Master as best we can through the years ahead. 🤠🤗
