Servanthood

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve,
and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
(Mark 10:45, NET)

We did not leave E. Asia to retire; we left because we could no longer remain there. We did not want to stop serving and wanted to continue to serve The Master. So, what, where, when could we continue to work for Him?

We’ve done lots of things in lots of places since our April 2019 return to the States. But serving food for the Dry Creek Baptist Camp’s monthly community catfish fry comes the closest to literally “serving”! From setting things up, dishing out food, being a “go-fer” between serving tables and kitchen, refreshing drinks, and cleaning everything up at the end, we served in a new way!

Monday, it will again be working for The Master as we have labored on other projects: maintenance of facilities (as seen below) or cleaning the cabins from this weekend’s kids’ camp. We thoroughly enjoy being able to serve others as our Lord has demonstrated. 🤠🤗

This week’s Blessings, Prayer Requests, and Schedule are here.
