Moving On

Now the Lord was going before them by day

in a pillar of cloud to lead them in the way,

and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light,

so that they could travel day or night.”

(Exodus 13:21)

There are times when we wish we had as much visible direction regarding where He would have us go and serve as the Israelites had as recorded in Exodus above. For us, we are never quite sure if we are understanding His leading correctly.

A couple of days ago it seemed the pillar of cloud was lifting and we were to leave Lake Lavon Camp for Lindale, TX four days earlier than we’d planned to travel. We are grateful for this unexpected departure as cold, icy weather rapidly moved in.

The thought of traveling with our small menagerie of our older dog, our 3-year-old territorial cat, and a squiggly, wiggly 10-week-old puppy in the back seat was quite overwhelming! But, again, He had it under control.

Salome, the puppy, spent most of the early morning with Bruce outside as he prepared the trailer for travel. After our daughter brought her puppy, Salome’s litter-mate, out for a rambunctious and energetic goodbye, all three of our animals were ready for some rest! They slept the entire way!

We had a safe, quiet travel day to our nice place to stay in Lindale before heading to our next project just a few miles away. We’ll be here until Thursday or until the weather clears enough to travel. We look forward to what we will be doing next! 🤠🤗

(This week’s Blessings, Prayer Requests, and Schedule are here).

Lake Lavon Camp, Fannin dorm bathroom (2) remodels. We didn’t finish it, but we got a lot accomplished!

(Don’t forget to check out more of our pictures here.)

Bath remodels just rank right up there with claustrophobia! I’d rather caulk outside with Katie! Ya’ll get the red badge of courage. I am sure the folks at Lake Lavon were thrilled to have you back. Gail
