Learning to Relax?

He said to them,

“Come with me privately to an isolated place

and rest a while …”

(Mark 6:31)

We’re not in an isolated place but we are trying our best to relax; it just does not come naturally for us. There is always something that needs to be done. But, isn’t that the way of life? 😄

We’ve been in Idaho for a week. We thank every one of you who prayed for our safety as we traveled from TX to ID, following our “rule of twos.” Those prayers were answered as we and our home arrived without any problems. Even our furry travel companions did very well on the road!

Not only have we had time to keep our home in good repair, but we’ve been able to spend time with our son and his youngest son. It has been great to catch up with them and learn what they’ve been up to since we last saw them two years ago.

This week we plan to head to Three Forks, MT with our home in tow and with Katie’s sister and brother-in-law for a few days of “camping.” We were there a few years ago and enjoyed the area. It is quite beautiful in the “Big Sky Country” of Montana. 🤠🤗

So so envious – Montana. Enjoy your forced rest! Sometimes we just have to do it. Can’t wait to spend November with ya’ll.

Why is it that after leading a busy life our attempts to just relax soon turned into, “OK, I’m bored”?

  3. I hope you are well. Stay safe. Enjoy your time with family. – Drew

Thanks, Drew! I’m beginning to wonder what “relax” really means! But, we are enjoying time with family! 🤠
