It’s Raining … Finally

“So we must not grow weary in doing good,
for in due time we will reap,
if we do not give up.”
(Galatians 6:9, NET 2nd ed.)

The Lindale, TX, area has been under an extreme drought this fall. Thankfully, since we returned to the office two weeks ago, it started raining once again. Not a lot, but enough to remove the no-burn restrictions. In the office, however, there has not been a drought when it comes to keeping up with the work!

In addition to the three main areas the office staff handles, we’ve also had two SOWER couples working in the office. They have been helping with understanding and updating our computer system and performing maintenance and other office work. Coordinating this extra work is in addition to our normal duties with SOWER members, our ministry partners, and handling all the finances. It is definitely keeping us busy!

When it comes to life outside the office, it is the normal life chores of meal prep, laundry, getting groceries, and all the mundane things of living! Even though we live full-time in our home-on-wheels, life is the same as living in a sticks-and-bricks home. As I (Bruce) write this, I’m also watching the Buffalo-Kansas City football game that is being played in our old hometown near Buffalo, New York!

We are no longer on the front lines as we were in E. Asia. We are, in fact, many layers removed from the front-line activity of the ministries we serve. But it is all needed to reach the lost for Christ. We do not want to grow weary in what we are doing. Please continue to pray that we will be a blessing to those we work with, our ministry partners, and those in the community where the office is located, and have the grace and wisdom to run the office well. 🤠🤗
