“Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.
And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens
and over the livestock and over all the earth
and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.‘”
(Genesis 1:26, ESV)

The author of Genesis identifies God’s purpose for creating us: to be His representative (in His image) and to have authority over, or to manage His creation. In this first chapter of the creation story, this was an eternal assignment. There was no death at this time and this assigned work was to last indefinitely.
When we arrived at New Life Ranch, the men’s assignment was to upgrade the structural support for the zip-line platform and then add a deck made of wood composite. As noted last week, we were to do this when not needed to help the public school kids at The Fort. This next week is our last week of the project so we hope to complete this for the camp.
How are we to be used by Him next? This coming weekend we plan to again head south. We will spend a couple of days relaxing at a COE campground along the way to the SOWER office, our next project. We will spend November at the office getting “re-qualified” on the office procedures in preparation for our new assignment. We will be in the office from Mar-Jun, 2024, and then again from Nov 2024 through Feb. 2025!
We will continue to do our utmost for His glory for as long as we are able. We know that through this work in support of the many ministries with whom SOWERs has partnered, many are coming to know Him or are deepening their walk with Him, thus furthering His creation. 🤠🤗
(This week’s Blessings, Prayer Requests, and Schedule are here)

Last week we were able to paint the structural supports that had been welded the week before as seen above left (or top). We then got started installing the decking as noted in the right (or bottom) picture.
