“Who can find a wife of noble character?
For her value is far more than rubies.
The heart of her husband has confidence in her, .…”
(Proverbs 31:10–11, NET)
The question “who can find a wife of noble character” in the scripture above does not suggest that such women are nonexistent but that they should be admired because they, like noble men, are rare. We believe that Zach, our only granddaughter’s fiancé, has found just such a woman!
It was a huge blessing to be invited not only to be present but to be part of this wonderful engagement proposal. Hannah’s fiancé is in the Coast Guard, stationed in Houma, LA. We found an RV park about halfway between Dallas, TX, and Houma, LA that served as a “base of operations” for the momentous event.
We left the office Friday AM and drove the 175 miles to the RV park. Our daughter Sarah, our granddaughter Hannah and her best friend came from the Dallas area. Zach’s parents and younger brother came all the way from OK; and Zack from Houma. We were all able to celebrate together! It was a short but exciting weekend!
After the fun but much too short couple of days, we headed back to Lindale to be ready to dive back into work at the SOWER office. Now we look forward to seeing these two wonderful young people grow in their love and respect for each other and seeing how our Father will use them to His glory. 🤠🤗
