When dear national friends immigrated to Australia in early 2016, they gave us their color, LaserJet printer as a way they could invest in our work. It was an amazing blessing as our printer was not doing well and we needed something to use for printing class notes, etc. Their generous gift has served us well and has printed many, many handouts.
Fast forward to our recent preparations to move back to the States. We want to “will” this printer to someone else who is also doing our Father’s work. Since returning here from the States three weeks ago, we’ve asked if any local, national fellowships needed a printer. We kept getting negative responses. On Saturday night, we learned that a new daughter plant in which one of our students is involved had just that day bought a new printer! This was getting a bit discouraging. However, we knew that Father’s timing is perfect. And so, it was!
Later Saturday evening we learned of another national believer who has an established work reaching out and helping recovering drug addicts. And yes, … his printer died that very day! He was struggling trying to figure out how to get a new one when he was asked if he might need a printer!
According to Solomon: “God has made everything fit beautifully in its appropriate time, but he has also placed ignorance in the human heart so that people cannot discover what God has ordained, from the beginning to the end of their lives.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11, NET) Through the past six months with Bruce’s mother passing away, need for a vehicle, etc. we continue to experience this truth every day.
We don’t need to know the timing, but we just need to have patience and trust that all will work out according to His plan. He is Faithful!!!
