Sorry for the Silence

Yes, we’ve been busy, but that is no excuse. I (Bruce) should have taken the time to update you, our faithful partners in our ministry. We covet your prayers and support and know that you cannot pray effectively without knowing what we are up to.

We will not bore you with a travelog of activities. We want you to know that we are doing well, as is our family. We did make a quick post to our Along the Walk Facebook group from Redmond, OR at the Family Motor Coach Association Rally. We attended the rally to see if sending a SOWER team to future rallies would be cost-effective to spread the word regarding the SOWER ministry.

On the way there and back, we visited Katie’s sister in Boise who is fighting cancer. She is doing well and continues to fight. Thanks for praying! While in Nampa, ID we also were able to connect with our dear SOWER friends from many shared projects together. We saw Katie’s “aunt” Pat in Bend, OR who will be 101 years young in December, and then swung up to Pasco, WA to see our long-time E. Asia friends who just returned from Mexico to visit his mother who will soon be in the Son’s presence.

While in Idaho, we’ve been working on unexpected vehicle (trailer and truck) repairs and trying to soak up as much quality family time as possible. We are in the final few weeks of our stay in Idaho and are planning our route back to TX. We are scheduled to help in the SOWER office during the annual SOWER board meeting and then we will work at Trinity Pines Conference Center in Trinity, TX for October. We will spend the following four months (Nov-Feb) working in the SOWER office again.
