“Some traveled on the sea in ships,
and carried cargo over the vast waters.
They witnessed the acts of the Lord,
his amazing feats on the deep water.”
(Psalm 107:23–24, NET)
About 15 miles from shore you can see the cargo ship (above) headed west on Lake Ontario. This is an ocean-going vessel. We often refer to our home-on-wheels as a land schooner. It is not designed for open waters but is designed to travel the highways and byways of America. Today, we are at Lighthouse Christian Camp, about 50 miles northeast of Buffalo, NY.
Many folks we encounter on our travels and at the projects where we work express envy at what we are doing. They remark that they too would love to just travel around the US and visit as many tourist attractions as possible. But, we tell them that is not really what we are doing or what our purpose is.
Yes, we indeed are visiting many places, as seen in the picture below. But, we’ve also lived in or visited almost every state of the Union before we moved into our land schooner to continue our ministry service. Our purpose is not to travel as tourists but to travel so we can continue to serve. We may have just turned 69 years old but we are not ready to park it someplace and sit around. One of these days we may need to “hang up the keys” but until that time comes, we will continue to do what we can to further His Kingdom! 🤠🤗
This week’s Blessings, Prayer Requests, and Schedule are here.
