“I heard the voice of the sovereign master say,
“Whom will I send? Who will go on our behalf?”
I answered, “Here I am, send me!””
(Isaiah 6:8, NET)
As a SOWER, we go where we feel the LORD is calling us to help Christian ministries. These include camps, conference centers, orphanages, schools, missionary retreat centers, and training facilities, homes for abused children, and recovery homes for adults. The ~170-ish SOWER projects cover the lower 48 states, a few in BC, Canada, and a few in Alaska.
However, we find that we are often called to help in other areas, as happened last week. We were going to head to our next project in OK but instead drove 250 miles the opposite direction to visit long-time friends who needed an extra couple of hands to work on a project in a 100+-year-old home they are renovating. Then, as we began our journey to OK, we stopped at a Boondockers Welcome site.
Not only was it a blessing to hear this man’s amazing testimony of how God called him to serve, but once again, we jumped in to help. He has a 2-week old calf, recently separated from its mother, that was not feeding. Somehow, we needed to get her to learn to take a bottle. Katie’s amazing touch came to the rescue and before we left on our journey, the youngster was happily getting nourishment and frolicking in her pen!
Here we are, send us, for we will do whatever, whenever, and wherever. What an amazing journey He sends us on when we are simply committed to following Him. 🤠🤗
