“…the one who made heaven and earth,
the sea, and all that is in them,
who remains forever faithful,
… The Lord releases the imprisoned.”
(Psalm 146:6–7)
As the older man approached us he threw his hands into the air, stared up at the cloud-laced, deep blue sky, and shouted “What a beautiful day! It is wonderful to be free! Praise the Lord!” What it must feel like to be freed from prison as a young, born-again Christian!
This and next month (Feb-Mar) we are working at Calvary Commission in Lindale, TX. According to their website: “… Calvary Commission shares the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through foreign missions, prison ministry and discipleship training” (https://calvarycommission.org/about/). All who we have come into contact with live and study here and have spent time in prison.
These men and women are so thankful for what they now have and their newfound freedom in Christ. They are all so appreciative of what we are doing. We try to demonstrate through our actions that we are serving the same Master they are growing to know. Right now that involves renovating a double-wide mobile home for use as intern/student housing. There is much to be done and we hope to finish by the end of March.
We are thankful to be able to serve here. Each day as we interact with these new believers we are reminded of how precious our freedom is, both in this country and in Christ! 🤠🤗
(This week’s Blessings, Prayer Requests, and Schedule are here).

We served there 3 yrs ago (I think). We have wonderful memories of being there. Those people are making such an impact on the ones that pass thru there.
