It is not easy to post an update to our blog when we are constantly on the move! We’ve added a couple of short updates to our Facebook group “Along the Walk with B’nK” to keep you appraised of our travels and safety. (Some of you inquire about our safety when we have not posted for a while. We appreciate your concern!)
We have certainly had an adventurous three weeks! We were blessed by our former sending church family in Virginia, especially being able to reconnect with two families we worked with overseas. Visiting our grandson who is serving in the Marines at Camp Lejeune was another highlight. A quick trip to the Ark Encounter in KY was a must for us and our fellow traveling SOWER friends! 😄
We are now in Bonifay, FL visiting the Gateway Academy which is a Teen Challenge boarding school for troubled 12 to 17-year-old boys. This is a SOWER project that we are checking out for possible future service if the Lord calls us in this direction in the future. The weather this weekend was in the ’90s so it has been a blessing to have air conditioning!
Tomorrow we will head to Whispering Pines Baptist Camp in Citronelle, AL. This is another SOWER project that we are checking out. Tuesday, we’ll continue to make our way to MS, LA, and then to TX and the SOWER home office in Lindale.
We left the Sower office the first part of May with a stop at Lake Lavon for a short rest and to make a few repairs to the trailer before we headed to serve at projects in OH, NY, and ME. We will have traveled about 8,000 miles when we return to the office at the end of this week and are ready to stay in one area for a few months!
