“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
the fruit of the womb a reward.”
(Psalm 127:3, ESV)
This little campground in Shelley, ID (above), has become our favorite place to park, rest, visit family, and enjoy the beauty of Idaho. Sadly, this year we are only able to stay here for 3-4 days at a time due to the many, many folks who have taken up the RV lifestyle.
However, we have been able to find wonderful places in-between those 3-4 days stay at other locations in the intermountain West to spend time with Katie’s sister and brother-in-law. Last week we were at Three Forks, MT, and this week at Challis Hot Springs, in central Idaho. This month has been a wonderful time of rest as well as time to make various repairs on the trailer.
We noted three weeks ago that when we attempted to repair the bedroom slide mechanism ourselves, we kept running into roadblocks. It was as if we were being prevented from doing the repair. Thankfully, it ended up being an easy fix for the RV tech. However, there was a huge hidden blessing in this repair and the reason we were blocked!
Last weekend the remote which controls the slide operation began to fail. When Bruce went to pay for the slide repair he discovered that work was covered by our extended warranty. When Bruce mentioned the failing remote, the service manager at Smith RV told him they could get a new remote and it would all be billed under the same service request. Thus, we ended up with $700-750 worth of repairs/equipment for only the $100 deductible! In addition, Bruce and Sean were able to easily program the new remote to the receiver and all is well once again. What a blessing! We are so glad we paused to “listen” to the situations blocking us!
What an amazing couple of weeks! We look forward to the remaining two weeks we will be here and then it is off to Rock Springs, WY for our next adventure! 🤠 🤗
This week’s Blessings, Prayer Requests, and Schedule are here.
