May He not allow your foot to slip!

May your Protector not sleep!”

(Psalm 121:3, NET)

From Dec to Jan we traveled only about 100 miles to our Jan project. Feb was only 35 miles away. March was just about 250 miles away, and April saw us return that 250 miles back to the SOWER office. Today we started our epic northeast journey which might end up over 5,000 miles by the time we return to TX late in the fall!

The fuel prices are horrendous; (we spent the most we’ve ever spent for a fill-up below). 😔 So, we are saving money by locating free or inexpensive places to stay. Army Corps of Engineers (COE) Campgrounds are located along beautiful waterways and lakes. As a senior, we can stay for half price. Last night’s stay was only $9.00. We are also staying at free places, either private residences or businesses that allow overnight parking, such as the place shown below where we are tonight. This place is gorgeous!

We will spend two more nights at a COE campground and then get to spend the night on a honey farm! (Winnie the Pooh would have been in his own heaven! 🤣 ) We are also spending a couple of nights at a SOWER project to visit and learn about their work, and then on to spend a few nights with friends on their farm. (We last visited them on our way to VA and had a wonderful time!).

We are only two days into our journey, but grateful that all is going well. Please continue to lift us up to the Father for safety as we travel, good weather, and safety for our home on wheels. Your prayers mean a much to us; we could not do what we do without your intercession for us. Thank you! 🤠🤗

This week’s Blessings, Prayer Requests, and Schedule are here.
