“Pure and undefiled religion before God the Father is this:
to care for orphans and widows in their adversity
and to keep oneself unstained by the world.”
(James 1:27)
About 23 years ago, the founder of Hope House (http://ahome2come2.com) acquired their current location in Marsing, ID. The property came with no running water, no usable sewage system, and no electricity. It was a rundown, abandoned Job Corp training facility. A SOWER came to help at that time. He arrived in his 5th-wheel and for many years dry camped on-site each summer to help build the infrastructure to get Hope House in operation.
At some point, Hope House was given a single-wide trailer built about 1983. After it was moved to its present location it was restored, and its original two-bedroom configuration was modified to provide a large living room and one bedroom. This SOWER lived here for several years until he passed away. We do not know the history of this home after he entered his eternal reward.
There is a grandmother who has a handicapped granddaughter. We also do not know the life story of these two. We only know they need a place to live and this trailer is in desperate need of restoration once again to provide them a home. The exterior siding is badly weathered. The interior needs to have a second bedroom added and the bathroom extensively modified to allow for handicapped access.
This is what SOWERs do. We help ministries accomplish what they feel God has called them to do. Hope House’s ministry is to provide a place for children to call home, where they are loved and nurtured. We are glad we can be here to help! 🤠🤗
